Selling

Sell my small business

To sell your small business, you choose a path, get your books and lease in order, find a buyer, agree a structure, and hand over. Your main choice is how: through a broker, to someone you know, or directly to an operator like us. We buy and hold owner-operated community and sport businesses, and the first call is confidential.

Your three main paths

Most owners end up choosing between three routes.

A business broker

The broker markets the business to many buyers and takes a fee at closing. Good for reach, slower and more public.

Someone you know

A key employee, family member or competitor. Familiar, but often needs seller financing and a careful plan.

A direct sale to an operator

You talk to one buyer who intends to run and keep the business. Quieter, and the structure can be built around you.

What we buy

We invest in community and sport businesses under $1M of EBITDA: swim clubs and swim schools, gyms and training facilities, courts, rinks and field houses, public facility contracts, non-profit programs that need an operator, and the local businesses that anchor the same block.

We take minority, majority or partnership stakes. We buy and hold. We're with you forever.

What happens after you reach out

We start with a conversation, not a listing. If it makes sense, we review your books, lease and revenue mix, then write a proposal around your timeline. You decide whether to go ahead.

Questions owners ask

Can I sell my business confidentially?

Yes. A direct conversation with a single buyer keeps things quiet. We do not list or market your business.

Do I have to sell the whole business?

No. We invest in minority, majority or partnership stakes, and can use earn-ins, earn-outs, seller financing and staged buyouts.

Can I stay on after selling?

Yes, if you want to. Many owners want out of billing, payroll and insurance but want to keep coaching or working with customers.

What size businesses do you buy?

Typically owner-operated businesses under $1M of EBITDA in community and sport.

How long does selling a small business take?

TODO: owner to supply a typical timeline range, if any. It depends on how ready your books and lease are and on the structure chosen.
